* Clients using Medicaid must deliver at the birth center. Homebirths are self-pay only.

** Childbirth class options include a Mini Childbirth Class (4 week class) or the full Bradley Method Childbirth Class (8 week class). The Mini Childbirth Class is a shortened version of the Bradley Class. Schedule your class through Wellspring.

*** Complete Lactation Package with Bayou City Breastfeeding includes four lactation visits (one 26-34 week prenatal office visit, one 2-4 day virtual visit, one 3-5 day office visit, and one 1-2 week office visit) and support via text/phone between and after all appointments.

Payment Policy

There is a non-refundable deposit of $500 due at the first appointment (consultation is free) or with contract for care. This deposit is part of your package price, and the remainder of your package must be paid in full by 36 weeks gestation. No refunds are available after 36 weeks for any reason - whether care is terminated or transferred to another provider. There is a minimum payment of $150 due at each prenatal visit until paid in full. Payments can be made by check, cash, credit/debit card, FSA, or HSA. If medical financing is done through United Credit, a financing fee will be charged after financing is approved. This fee varies but is typically around 10%. 

There are select discounts** available to those who qualify. Please inquire about eligibility. Creative financial arrangements are considered. Insurance claims will be filed for clients using Medicaid (Molina), however self-pay clients will not have insurance filed. Wellspring is out-of-network for all private insurance companies. 
Make a Payment Online

All packages include:

  • Prenatal, labor, deliver, & postpartum midwifery care
  • Home visit at 24-48 hours postpartum (unless transferred for hospital birth)
  • Early dating ultrasound (all) and anatomy scan ultrasound (self-pay or referred to Medicaid-contracted imaging center)
  • Childbirth class (mini or full class, depending on package)
  • Newborn screening, CCHD screening, vitamin K (optional), and newborn eye ointment (optional)
  • New client welcome gift, which includes samples of essential oils and other goodies
  • New baby diaper bag full of samples and goodies
  • Use of “Birth Pool in a Box Mini” at no extra charge and homebirth kit (homebirth only)

 

Additional fees which may be incurred:

  • Labwork will be billed by Quest Diagnostics to your insurance company. Clients without insurance will pay separately for labs.
  • Rhogam (for Rh- mothers)
  • Blood typing for baby ($40)
  • Extra Homebirth Supplies (hose and extra birth supplies)

 

*Client beginning care after 20 weeks gestation with no previous prenatal care and/or no prenatal records from previous provider: package fee increased by $500.

**Prompt payment discount of $200 if paid in full at initial visit or by 20 weeks. Repeat client discount of $300 for clients who have hired Wellspring previously and had at least one visit with us.

Need Financing Options?

Wellspring Birth Center offers financing through United Credit. It's a simple process to apply, and funding is often available within 24 hours depending on your credit. Clients are responsible for paying the financing fee associated with the financing option they choose, typically around 9.99%.
